Careers at Disability Rights NJ

A career at Disability Rights New Jersey is an opportunity to do meaningful work with a significant impact on the civil rights of people with disabilities. We focus on effecting systemic change through policy advocacy and litigation where appropriate. We also serve individuals whose issues fall within our current priorities, from advice and brief services through representation in court proceedings or administrative hearings and appeals. As a protection and advocacy organization, we investigate reports of abuse and neglect and monitor facilities that serve individuals with disabilities.  

Disability Rights NJ’s staff work under a hybrid telework policy, generally with two days in the office or field depending on work demands.  We strive to offer salaries and benefits that are comparable to other New Jersey non-profit organizations.
