Board of Directors
Disability Rights New Jersey is governed by a Board of Directors, the majority of whom are individuals with disabilities or family members of an individual with a disability. The governing board includes representatives from each of the agency’s consumer advisory councils and is diverse in terms of race, ethnicity and geography.
About the Disability Rights NJ Board of Directors
Members of the Board reflect the diverse constituency served by the agency. Federal law mandates that Disability Rights New Jersey serve individuals with developmental, mental, sensory, physical and other disabilities. The Board consists of people with disabilities, family members and professionals.
Disability Rights NJ selects Board members representing New Jersey’s diverse ethnic and cultural communities including the different geographic areas of the state.
The agency’s formal bylaws cover the make-up, duties, powers, terms of office and other details concerning our Board. The Board establishes the duties, powers and terms of office for other positions.
