Self-determination is the idea that people with disabilities have the right to make choices about their lives, including where they live, what they eat, how they spend their time, and how they spend their money. People with disabilities are often subjected to limitations on personal freedom. At Disability Rights NJ we believe in the right to autonomy and respect and promote self-determination for people with disabilities.
